CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19
Welcome to the Pine Trail Run
The Pine Trail Run 2020 has been cancelled due to COVID-19. As part of the local and global community, it is important to understand that this is the time to discourage public gatherings. We take our responsibility for the health and well-being of our community seriously. We are all working together to stay healthy. Minimizing social contact will help slow the spread of this virus.
For those who have registered for the race we are offering a couple of options:
(1) I would like to donate my entry fee to the trails program for future development. Remember 100% of donated funds go directly to trail building and trail maintenance.
(2) Thanks for all you have done but I would like my entry fee returned. (Please email us at pinetrailrace@gmail.com)
Please check https://pinetrailrun.com/ for future updates, and thank you for your understanding in this uncertain time.
Thank you,
Pine Strawberry Fuel Reduction Inc. Board of Directors andRace Committee members
The 3rd annual race will be on May 2, 2020.
Our 1st race in 2018 featured an 8.3 mile trail run and 113 runners. In 2019 we included a 5K and had 138 total runners.
For 2020 we added a 50K, which ascends and descends the Mogollon Rim.
All 3 races will finish at the Pine Trailhead, just south of beautiful Pine Arizona. The 5K and 9 mile runners will be provided a complementary burrito breakfast while the 50K runners will be treated to a BBQ dinner at the Pine Trailhead. The Pine Trail Run will be limited to 300 runners.
The Pine Trail Run is a non-profit event hosted by Pine Strawberry Fuel Reduction (PSFR), Inc. It is supported by many volunteers and 8 local non-profit organizations. It is truly a community event.
The race courses run along the Mogollon Rim at about 6000 ft. elevation, mostly on trails built and maintained by the PSFR trail crew and the Arizona Trail Association. The PSFR trail crew works all year long maintaining and improving the Pine area trails in the Tonto National Forest. As a member of the trail crew I can say that we enjoy meeting people from all over coming to Pine and enjoying our trails.
We have free camping in the Tonto National Forest adjacent to the parking and provide a shuttle service to/from the start and finish areas.
Please explore our Event and Race pages for more details, and register so you too can Breeze Through the Trees! I hope to see you in Pine.
